Posted

Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins will serve as the keynote speaker for the annual Howell County Lincoln Day Dinner on May 2.

The event, hosted by the Howell County Republican Party, will be held in the Magnolia Room of the West Plains Civic Center, 110 St. Louis St. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program at 6 p.m.

In addition to Hoskins, attendees will hear from 33rd District Sen. Brad Hudson, 153rd District State Rep. Keith Elliott and 154th District State Rep. Lisa Durnell. Former 155th District State Rep. Travis Smith, who is a candidate for the 154th District seat, is also scheduled to speak.

A long-standing tradition of the event is an energetic live auction fundraiser conducted by former Southern District Commissioner Billy Sexton. A silent auction will also be held during the evening.

Tickets are $35 each. In the West Plains area, they may be purchased from Howell County Central Committee representatives John Williams, Lisa Brassfield or Judy Von Allmen in the West Plains area.

Tickets are also available in the Willow Springs and Pomona areas from Tracy and Rick Brasier, in the Willow Springs and Mtn. View areas from Devan and Emilee Daniels, and in the Mtn. View area from Nick and Nancy Heavrin.

Tickets may also be purchased from any Howell County officeholder or at the door the day of the event. Organizers noted that seating is limited and encourage the public to purchase tickets early.

“Come out for an evening of community, conversation, and celebration,” they added. “We look forward to seeing you there!”
