A 52-year-old Houston man suffered fatal injuries in a rollover crash at 3:45 p.m. Monday on north U.S. 63, 6 miles north of Cabool in Texas County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tprs. Z.B. Tate and A.T. Sigman, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2009 Ford F250 driven by the man ran off the right side of the road and overturned onto its side.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt. Dr. Steven Schafer of Texas County Memorial Hospital pronounced him dead at the scene at 4:09 p.m.
The death marks the eighth traffic fatality for the year in the nine-county Troop G area, compared to 11 at this time last year.
Tate and Sigman were assisted at the scene by Cpl. J.L. Dedmon and Tpr. J.L. Sentman.
