10/40 Coffee, 24 Court Square, West Plains, inspected Jan. 10. One violation: A temperature measuring device was not found in all coolers/freezers. Corrected onsite.

Foodie’s Fare, 313 Washington Ave., West Plains, inspected Jan. 5. No violations.

Get & Go Safe convenience store, 130 N. Howell Ave., West Plains, inspected Jan. 5. Follow-up inspection scheduled for March 25. Two violations: no three-compartment sink for proper dishwashing as required, must have sink available if ready-to-eat foods such as hot dogs are prepared onsite, and observed cleaning needed on countertops under soda fountains. Reinspections scheduled for April 1 for the sink matter and March 25 for the countertop cleaning.

Malone’s Motel, 206 N. Oaks St., Mtn. View, inspected Jan. 8. Two violations: Emergency lights must be able to be tested in upstairs exit lights, and smoke detectors and heat sensors not hardwired with battery backup. The first issue was corrected Jan. 10. In addition, inspections of 18 rooms showed one room in need of repairs to a broken window tile in a bathroom and, in another room, the need for replacement or addition of weatherstripping to an outside door and floor tiles in a restroom in need of grout to repair and make smooth and easily cleanable. No deadline for correction was given in the report.

Mandy’s Mobile Foods, 2302 K Highway, West Plains, inspected Jan. 10. No violations.

McDonald’s, 300 U.S. 60, Mtn. View, inspected Jan. 8. Four violations: The soda fountain area was observed to be in need of deep cleaning; there was no required employee hand-washing signage in the restrooms; fryer floor area, walk-in cooler/freezer, storage area, area behind the front counter and the fry freezer were observed to need deep cleaning; and air vents were seen to need repair and deep cleaning. A deadline of Feb. 7 was given to correct all issues.

Pizza Shack, 1836 Porter Wagoner Blvd., West Plains, inspected Jan. 12. Two violations: excessive food build-up/debris in prep areas need of cleaning, particularly in pizza oven and prep cooler, and missing floor tiles need to be replaced to make floor smooth and easily cleanable. Reinspections scheduled for Feb. 11 on both issues.

Samaritan Outreach Center, 715 Missouri Ave., West Plains, inspected Jan. 10. One violation: A wall near the stove in the prep area was observed to need repair. Reinspection scheduled for Feb. 9 on the matter.

Snappy Mart No. 9, 1671 U.S. 63, West Plains, inspected Jan. 5. Follow-up inspection scheduled for March 25. Four violations: Temperature in walk-in cooler was 50 degrees, above the maximum; chest freezer lid was damaged and in need of replacement; prep area wall and flooring needed repairs; and walls and soda fountains were in need of cleaning. Reinspections have been set for March 25 for the walk-in cooler, chest freezer and prep area repairs, and for April 1 for the cleaning issue.
