The West Plains girls golf team faced challenging conditions at the Bolivar Invitational on Monday, shooting a combined team score of 401 to finish fifth out of a 15-team field at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club.
Rose Reeves paced the Lady Zizzers, carding a team-best 93 on the demanding course.
West Plains Head Coach James Sharp noted that while the team did not post the low scores it has seen earlier in the season, the totals were largely a result of the difficult course layout and heavy winds.
"Silo Ridge was a great test for our girls," Sharp said. "They battled the heat and high winds all day on a tough course. I was proud of the way they kept focused even if they weren't playing their best golf."
