Beth Strong, kindergarten teacher at Richards School, led her first meeting as new president of Xi Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma, on July 21 at the West Plains Country Club. Three new members were welcomed: Patty Goss, Becky Quimby and Stephanie Guffey. The July meeting, one of five held yearly, is used to outline upcoming meetings and organize committees. Delta Kappa Gamma supports teachers and students in a multicounty area, supports a different service project each year and awards three scholarships to high school and college students each spring.
