A collision with a deer in Texas County resulted in minor injuries to a Houston woman, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. J.L. Sentman, Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported the 55-year-old woman was driving a northbound 2007 Ford Ranger that struck the animal at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday on north Highway 17, a mile south of Houston.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Texas County Ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, the report shows.
Minor injuries were reported for a 50-year-old man from Myrtle whose car was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Cpl. T.M. Broyles reported that, at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, the man was traveling east on V Highway 5 miles west of Myrtle in Oregon County. An unknown second vehicle reportedly struck the man’s 2009 Chevrolet Impala, then left the scene.
It was not known whether the driver from Myrtle was wearing a seat belt. He was taken by ambulance to St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, Ark., the report shows.
A 24-year-old woman from West Plains suffered minor injuries when her Jeep struck a deer at 8:50 p.m. Sunday.
Tpr. G.L. Plummer reported the collision happened on West U.S. 160, 8 miles east of Gainesville. The woman, driving a westbound 2017 Jeep Cherokee, was wearing a seatbelt and taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, the report shows.
