Mobile Mammography Unit to continue its tour through February

In ongoing dedication to community wellness, say officials, Ozarks Healthcare’s Mobile Mammography Unit will continue partnering with area businesses to travel and offer mammogram services to surrounding communities through February. 

Amid daily routines, officials stress, it’s crucial not to postpone mammograms. Early detection is pivotal in the fight against breast cancer and scheduling a mammogram is a proactive measure toward well-being, they add.

Ozarks Healthcare’s Mobile Mammography Unit features advanced 3D mammogram screening technology, providing comprehensive examinations. The unit it staffed by professionals committed to patient care, note officials.

SCHEDULE

The Mobile Mammography Unit will be in place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Ozarks Healthcare Winona, 9104 Highway 19, and then during the same time frame Thursday, it will be at the OZH clinic located at 220 N. Elm St. in Mtn. View.

Stops next week, all from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., include Feb. 18 at Town & Country Supermarket, 102 Main St. in Gainesville, and Feb. 15 at the Fordland Clinic, 1059 Barton Drive.

During the same hours, the mobile mammography unit will be stationed Feb. 20 at Ozarks Healthcare Thayer, 1375 Nettleton Ave.; Feb. 21 at Missouri Highlands Health Care, 405 Main St. in Van Buren; Feb. 22 at West Plains Bank and Trust Company North Branch, 1601 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains; Feb. 27 at West Plains Bank and Trust Company Liberty Branch, 607 N. Elm St., Mtn. View; Feb. 28 at West Plains Bank and Trust Company Houston Branch, 1473 Sam Houston Blvd.; and Feb. 29 at West Plains Bank and Trust Company Willow Springs Branch, 708 E. Main St., Willow Springs.

For added convenience, patients can schedule a mammogram to take place at a location from this schedule ahead of time by calling 417-257-5912. Appointments are available but limited, so those seeking to make an appointment are urged secure a spot in advance.

Patients wishing to have mammograms conducted through Ozarks Healthcare’s Mobile Mammography Unit must be female and 40 years or older; have had no mammograms in the past year; not be pregnant or breastfeeding; have no implants or breast issues such as breast discharge, lumps, pain or discoloration; and not have ever been diagnosed with breast cancer.
