MoDOT plans road work in Howell, Douglas counties

Missouri Department of Transportation crews plan to reduce portions of VV Highway in Howell County and Highway 76 in Douglas County to one lane for maintenance work in early August.

VV Highway in Howell County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction while crews make pavement repairs. The affected section is from U.S. 63 to PP Highway near Brandsville.

Weather permitting, work will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily Aug. 8 through Aug. 13.

In Douglas County, Highway 76 will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction while crews perform bridge maintenance. The affected section is from Highway 181 North to County Road 76-01.

Weather permitting, work will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3, through 6.

Both work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the areas.
