Aug. 5
A 16-year-old driver from Eminence, whose identity is withheld due to state laws protecting the privacy of minors, was ticketed by Reserve Officer Jacob Brixey at 3:34 a.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated by alcohol, failure to drive on the right side of the road and impeding the flow of traffic.
Aug. 6
Officer Brixey took information from a woman who called to report her son had pulled a gun on her grandson.
Aug. 8
Cpl. Kylie McGee located a large snapping turtle in the road and did not want it to be hit by a vehicle. However, “the turtle did not like law enforcement and did not want to be removed.” She left, then returned later to check on the turtle, and it was gone.
Aug. 9
A resident of Sharp Street reported to Assistant Chief Trenton Roberts that flooding was making homes and driveways inaccessible. He alerted the city street department.
Allisa Terry, 59, Bakersfield, was ticketed at 10:08 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
Aug. 10
Carey Reese, 48, Mtn. View, was ticketed by Officer Brixey at about 11:10 p.m. on charges of littering, possession of drug paraphernalia, creating or maintaining a public nuisance and stealing, value less than $500, and ticketed again at 5:44 a.m. the next day on a charge of harassment.
Aug. 22
Taylor Thomason, 31, Eminence, was ticketed by Cpl. McGee at 5:21 p.m. on charges of driving while suspended or revoked, failure to maintain financial responsibility, failure to register a vehicle, displaying another vehicle’s plates and failure to yield at a sign, causing an accident.
William Fenton, 34, Mtn. View, was ticketed by Cpl. McGee at 11:57 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated by alcohol and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
Aug. 23
Rusty Lamborn, 25, Mtn. View, was ticketed by Cpl. McGee at 9:29 p.m. on charges of driving without a license and DWI-alcohol.
