Tanya Miller, executive director of the Mtn. View Chamber of Commerce, recently completed the CCEM Chamber Management Academy, a professional development program hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri.

The two-day academy, held Aug. 5 and 6 in Jefferson City, brought together chamber professionals from across the state to strengthen leadership skills, exchange ideas and gain practical strategies to serve local business communities.

The program featured sessions on board governance, membership recruitment and retention, marketing and communications, advocacy, public relations, economic development, sponsorship development, social media strategy and generating non-dues revenue. Participants also had opportunities to connect with peers from across the state.

“The Chamber Management Academy provided practical tools, fresh ideas, and valuable connections that I can immediately put to work in serving our members and community," Miller said. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from experienced chamber leaders across Missouri.”

The Chamber Management Academy is designed to provide foundational knowledge and best practices for chamber professionals at all career stages. Its hosting organization, CCEM, is a professional association that equips Missouri chamber leaders with education, networking and leadership development resources.
