The Mtn. View Garden Club has named the home of Nona Miller, 300 Pine St. in downtown Mtn. View, as its latest Yard of the Month. According to club President Robi Tanner, judges Joni Cay Appleton and Hilary Connolly selected the property for its eye-catching raised beds filled with brightly colored coleus, zinnias and cascading sweet potato vines. Shown here, Miller's front porch is also decorated with hanging pots of bright annuals designed to attract hummingbirds. Tanner noted Miller cultivated her gardens by starting seeds and purchasing plants from the nearby ABC Greenhouse, and her backyard features additional raised beds bursting with vegetables and herbs.
