A 44-year-old Norwood woman suffered moderate injuries in a head-on crash at 4:40 p.m. Sunday on C Highway, 2 miles south of Norwood in Wright County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Cpl. T.R. Brown, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2020 Nissan Armada driven by a 52-year-old man from Macomb attempted to pass another vehicle and struck a southbound 2007 Chevrolet HHR driven by the woman.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows. The driver of the Nissan was wearing a seat belt and reportedly sought his own treatment for minor injuries.
Brown was assisted at the scene by Cpl. J.R. Sellars, the Norwood Fire Department and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
WP man hurt in Friday rollover
A 33-year-old West Plains man suffered moderate injuries in a rollover crash at 3 p.m. Friday off BB Highway, about 2 miles north of West Plains.
Tpr. D.B. Howell reported a southbound 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by the man ran off the left side of the road and overturned.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by South Howell County Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment, the report shows. Howell was assisted at the scene by Tpr. N.G. Britt.
Minor injuries reported for teen in Saturday crash
A 17-year-old West Plains girl suffered minor injuries when her vehicle ran off the road and struck a utility pole and fence at 2 p.m. Sunday. The crash happened on County Road 7160, 2.5 miles west of South Fork.
Msgt. C.A. Kimes reported the driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
Kimes was assisted at the scene by Tpr. A.K. Hughston and Tpr. Britt.
Local driver involved in crash near Fordland
A 46-year-old Springfield man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash involving a Willow Springs driver at 6:20 p.m. Sunday on west U.S. 160, 3 miles west of Fordland in Webster County.
Tpr. B.C. Roberts, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a northbound 2014 Ford F-150 driven by the Springfield man failed to yield and pulled into the path of a westbound 2015 Honda Accord driven by a 23-year-old Willow Springs man.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt, the report shows. The driver of the Ford was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. No injuries were reported for the Willow Springs man.
