Ozarka College in Melbourne, Ark., has hired Megan Purtle as administrative specialist III for the college’s admissions and financial aid offices.
In the role, Purtle will serve as one of the first points of contact for prospective and current students. She will assist with admissions, enrollment and financial aid processes.
“We are excited to welcome Megan to our Student Services team,” said Laura Lawrence, dean of student enrollment. “As a lifelong resident of our community, she brings strong organizational skills, a friendly personality and a desire to help students succeed.”
Purtle has several years of experience working in education, where she developed an interest in helping others and making students and families feel welcome.
“I have spent the last several years working in education, and one of my favorite parts has always been getting to help people and help them feel welcome,” Purtle said. “I enjoy helping others and hopefully making their day a little easier.”
Outside of work, Purtle enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have four children, and their youngest is preparing to start kindergarten this fall. The family is also expecting its first grandchild.
Purtle will work with students and families through Ozarka College’s admissions and financial aid offices.
