Ozarks Healthcare has announced the addition of Dr. Jordan Lane, a doctor of osteopathic medicine, to its dermatology team. Lane will provide specialized dermatologic care to patients across the region.

Lane recently finished his dermatology residency with the Northeast Regional Medical Center Still Osteopathic Post-Graduate Training Institute at Cleaver Dermatology in Kirksville. His medical career includes Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Nursing from Arkansas State University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York Institute of Technology at ASU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before focusing on dermatology, Lane worked as a critical care registered nurse at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Lane to Ozarks Healthcare Dermatology,” said Jacob Petrus, vice president of Physician Services and Operations at Ozarks Healthcare. “His combination of clinical experience, academic achievement and dedication to research will help us continue to meet the growing dermatologic needs of our region with compassion and expertise.”

Lane has also contributed to his field through published research in journals such as the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and Cureus. His work includes serving as a sub-investigator in several phase III clinical research trials aimed at developing new treatments for skin conditions.

Lane, who grew up in a small town in southeast Missouri, said his background inspired him to practice medicine in a rural setting.

"I saw firsthand the need for more healthcare providers in rural areas," he said. "My goal has always been to return to a community like the one I was raised in and provide specialized care where it's needed most. Ozarks Healthcare is a perfect fit for me and my family. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, and I’m excited to become part of this community and make a meaningful impact."

His areas of passion include treating skin cancer, performing surgical procedures and managing chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and hidradenitis suppurativa.

"Dermatology allows me to treat a wide range of patients, from infants to older adults, and make a real difference in their lives," Lane added. "I enjoy getting to know each patient on a personal level and working with them to improve not only their skin health but their overall quality of life."

Dr. Lane is now seeing patients at Ozarks Healthcare Dermatology. For more information or to make an appointment, call 417-505-7114 or visit ozarkshealthcare.com/services/dermatology.
