SAR presents Ingalsbe with flag appreciation certificate

The Josiah Howell Sons of the American Revolution chapter presented a flag appreciation certificate to veteran Andy Ingalsbe, West Plains, on May 7 for his proper display and care of the American flag. From left are chapter Treasurer Paul London and President Garry Pirch, Ingalsbe, and chapter Historian Jerry Roberts. Ingalsbe, a reservist who came out of retirement, was wounded by a sniper in Afghanistan in September 2009. He represents the seventh generation of his family to serve in military conflicts, a lineage of service that includes the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, World War I and World War II.
