The Richards School Board will hold its monthly session at 6 p.m. Thursday in the school boardroom.
Following the consent agenda, the board will hear administrative reports from Principal Mick Price, Superintendent Dr. Melonie Bunn and Executive Administrator Jerry Premer. Premer will also announce the annual school bus inspection date, and Bunn will present proposed summer school dates for board approval.
A closed executive session will be held to discuss legal and employee matters prior to adjourning the meeting.
The December board meeting, held Dec. 14, included a review of MAP testing data and approval of evaluations of the special education program and school climate, the 2022-23 fiscal year audit, and revisions to the current school year budget, required by law.
Following a closed session to discuss legal and personnel matters, the board voted to accept the retirements of English teacher Jean Dickson and physical education teacher and bus driver James McCrackin, both effective at the end of the school year. The board also voted to hire substitute teacher Montanna Forcum and Zach Cox as bus driver for the remainder of the school year.
