A 13-year-old West Plains girl suffered serious injuries in an ATV crash at 3:20 p.m. Sunday on private property off of County Road 8800, 2 miles south of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. D.B. Howell, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported she was riding a southbound 1997 Kawasaki Bayou. It reportedly traveled too quickly around a corner and overturned.
The girl was wearing a helmet and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
18-year-old driver hurt Sunday evening
A young man from West Plains suffered moderate injuries in rollover crash at 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 17, 6 miles south of West Plains.
Tpr. Howell reported a northbound 2020 GMC pickup truck driven by the 18-year-old ran off the road, struck two fences and overturned.
The driver reportedly was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by South Howell County Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.
2 from Alton hurt in motorcycle crash
Two Alton residents were injured when a motorcycle experienced equipment failure, ran off the right side of Highway 19 and overturned at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, 3 miles south of Alton in Oregon County.
Tpr. T.D. Pond reported a 32-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were riding a northbound 1998 Harley-Davidson Road Glide.
Both riders were wearing helmets. The man suffered minor injuries and the woman suffered moderate injuries; both were taken by Oregon County Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment, the report shows.
Minor injuries reported for Houston teen
A 16-year-old Houston boy suffered minor injuries in a crash at 2:55 p.m. Saturday on Highway E, 5 miles north of Houston in Texas County.
Tpr. N.B. Poynter reported a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Camaro driven by the teen ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The teen was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, the report shows.
Minor injuries reported for Eminence man
A 39-year-old Eminence man suffered minor injuries in a crash at 2:15 p.m. Thursday on Highway 19, a half-mile south of Eminence in Shannon County.
Tpr. S.A. Swink reported a northbound 2004 Ford Mustang driven by the man ran off the road into some bushes and a tree.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mtn. View for treatment, the report shows.
Collision injures Houston woman
A 76-year-old Houston woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 2:14 p.m. Thursday on north U.S. 63, 4 miles north of Houston in Texas County.
Cpl. T.L. Brown reported a northbound 2021 Peterbilt driven by a 70-year-old Licking man failed to notice a northbound 2020 Ford Focus driven by the woman that had stopped in traffic. The Peterbilt swerved into the southbound lane to avoid the Ford, but the car turned and struck the side of the Peterbilt.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and the driver of the Ford was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the semi.
