MTN. VIEW
Mtn. View voters selected Karen Gaddy as their new mayor to succeed Charry McCann, who did not run. Gaddy won with 213 votes, followed by former mayor John Krasuski, who had 166, and Todd Mitchell, 29.
In the East Ward, Toby Orchard unseated incumbent Judi Colter with 140 votes to Colter’s 40. Another challenger for that seat, Bryce Cooper, claimed 10 votes. West Ward Alderman Calvin Perry retained his seat, defeating Rick Thornton 132 to 69.
WILLOW SPRINGS
A major shift occurred on the Willow Springs School Board, where David Baldridge earned 325 votes, Michele Myers earned 245 and Brendon Wilson, 224, to secure seats. In doing so, they unseated incumbents Adam Webb and Matt Hobson, who claimed 153 votes and 171, respectively.
In city races, Andy Roberts and Jennifer Owens were elected unopposed to the city council. Voters also approved an ordinance allowing the chief of police to perform the duties of city marshal.
BAKERSFIELD, BRANDSVILLE
Bakersfield R-4 board incumbents Matthew Evans, Timothy Watlington and Darren Johnston retained their seats, while Stanton Lamb won a one-year term. All three incumbents were unopposed; Lamb defeated challenger Jana Pauley with 140 votes to her 67.
In Brandsville, Joshua Ritchie and Ronnie Bunch were elected to the city council in unopposed races.
