Willow Springs Middle School student Addison Kelly holds her fourth-place plaque for Onsite
Painting from the Missouri Beta Convention. Her top-five finish secured her a qualifying spot to
compete at the National Junior Beta Convention, scheduled for June 23 through 27 in Nashville,
Tenn. The onsite painting competition challenges students to create an original work of art within
a set time, allowing them to showcase their creativity and artistic skill. Kelly and her fellow
middle school Beta students recently traveled to the state convention to compete in a variety of
academic and creative events alongside peers from across Missouri.
