AT A GLANCE

May 18

At 1:45 a.m., Officer Joseph Tombley stopped a vehicle on the 1600 block of U.S. 63. The driver was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license and driving while intoxicated, then released on a summons after being booked into jail and fingerprinted.

 

May 20

Sgt. Brandon Stephens stopped a vehicle at 12:48 a.m. on Broadway for a traffic violation. The driver, Camden Jase Dunn, 20, was arrested, ticketed and released on a DWI charge.

While on patrol at 4:42 p.m., Officer Robert Shell saw a blue 2003 Ford F150 pickup truck stop too far into the intersection of Sixth Street and Porter Wagoner Boulevard. He stopped the truck, resulting in the arrest and 24-hour hold of Johnathon Thomas Goodman Jr., 30, on felony second-degree drug trafficking charges. Charges were forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office for review.

 

May 21

At 3:37 p.m., Lt. Kyle Ellison responded to the area of Linda and Terra drives to aid Howell County deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers in a search for two men who fled on foot after a vehicle pursuit. He found both men running near the 1800 block of Katherine Drive, and pursued one to the 1800 block of Christopher Drive. The man was released to deputies’ custody. The second man was apprehended by a deputy.

 

May 22

Officers responded to a call at 6:40 p.m. at Walmart, in which an employee reported a young child was roaming the parking lot unsupervised. The child’s guardian was located and the case, classified as second-degree child endangerment, was referred to the Missouri Children’s Division.
