A 68-year-old Willow Springs man suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 10:07 a.m. Thursday on Highway 95, 4 miles south of Mtn. Grove in Wright County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. N.M. Bogart with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a southbound 1999 Buick Century driven by a 19-year-old man from Ava crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan ridden by the 68-year-old head-on.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, where he was pronounced dead at 11:54 a.m., the report shows.
This marks the 23rd traffic fatality for the year in the nine-county Troop G area, compared to 26 at this time in 2025.
The driver of the Buick was not wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Bogart was assisted at the scene by Cpl. T.L. Brown, Tpr. J.L. Sentman and Tpr. J.V. Bondurant.
