Boys find bones in church yard here

From the July 30, 1956, edition of the Quill:  “ARE THESE BONES HUMAN? Found in the back yard of the Episcopal Church here Friday by two boys mowing the lawn, these bones, and another set nearby, may be those of a human. The property was a cemetery years ago, according to the Rev. David Barclay (center). Finding the bones were Jackie Martin (left) and Bill Davis. They were just below the surface of the ground, and the mower blade hit a portion of one of the bones sticking through the dirt.” The church its at 107 S. Curry St. in West Plains.
