Area residents and their animal companions recently went head-to-head in the "Copy Cats, Doggy Doubles" photo contest, presented by All Pet & Equine Supply in West Plains.
The contest invited readers to submit photos highlighting shared traits with their pets. Submissions and voting took place online from Sept. 12 through 28.
The top two winners, pictured on this page, will receive prize baskets including tickets for four to the St. Louis Renaissance Faire along with gifts from local businesses.
Also rounding out the top five were Lorelei Shelton of Pumpkin Center and her dog, Norbu, with “Bug-Eyed Buddies,” third place; Llana Damon of Pottersville and her dog, Cocoa, with “Beach Buddies,” fourth place; and AJ Hackworth of Peace Valley and his cat, Piper, with “Green Eyed Twinning With My Late Soul Pet,” fifth place.
