Great Southern Bank has announced a partnership with Greenlight Financial Technology, Inc., giving Great Southern customers access to Greenlight’s family finance app.

Through the Greenlight for Banks program, Great Southern customers may receive access to the app at no cost by connecting a Great Southern account as the funding source.

Greenlight offers a debit card and app designed for families, allowing parents to send money, automate allowance payments, manage chores, set spending controls and receive transaction notifications. The app also includes Greenlight Level Up, an in-app financial literacy game with educational challenges and rewards.

The partnership is intended to provide families with tools to help children and teens learn money management skills.

“As a community bank, we’re invested in our customers’ futures — and that includes their kids,” said Laura Smith, chief retail banking officer for Great Southern Bank. “We know parents want to teach their children good money habits, but it’s not always easy to know where to start. Greenlight gives families a real, hands-on way to do that together, and we’re proud to make it available to our customers at no cost.”

Great Southern customers can receive a Greenlight subscription by visiting greenlight.com/greatsouthern and connecting their Great Southern account as a funding source. Existing Greenlight customers may transition to the Great Southern partnership program by adding a Great Southern account as a funding source and contacting Greenlight customer service.

According to the company, more than 7 million parents and children use Greenlight to manage money.

Great Southern Bank is headquartered in Springfield and reported $5.6 billion in assets. Including a branch at 1210 Parkway Center in West Plains, the company operates 88 retail banking centers in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Arkansas and Nebraska, along with commercial lending offices in several major markets and a home loan center in Springfield.

Greenlight Financial Technology, Inc. is a financial technology company that offers a debit card and app for families. Greenlight is not a bank. Banking services are provided through Community Federal Savings Bank, Member FDIC.

Terms and conditions apply. The no-cost Greenlight SELECT plan for Great Southern customers requires a Great Southern Bank account to remain connected as the Greenlight funding source for the duration of the promotion. Additional fees may apply for upgrades. The offer is scheduled to end May 3, 2029, and is subject to change.
