The Harlin Museum invites local and regional artists to submit their three-dimensional and dimensional artwork for its upcoming summer exhibition, "Beyond the Canvas: Where Creativity Takes Shape."

The special exhibition aims to highlight pieces that break away from the traditional flat canvas to explore creativity through form, texture and space. Organizers encourage submissions from artists working in ceramics, woodworking, fiber arts, glass, metal, mixed media and other sculptural or functional forms. Artists of all experience levels are welcome to participate.

Entries for the show will be accepted at the museum from May 28 through May 31. Entry fees begin at $20, with discounted rates available for artists submitting additional pieces.

The exhibit will officially open to the public on June 4 and remain on display through July 11.

According to museum officials, "Beyond the Canvas" is designed to be a fun and engaging showcase of art that stands out. The exhibit will feature everything from handcrafted functional pieces to imaginative, one-of-a-kind creations, offering visitors the opportunity to experience art from multiple angles.

The Harlin Museum is located at 405 Worcester St. in West Plains. Regular operating hours are noon to 4 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays.

For more information about submitting artwork, contact the museum at 417-256-7801, email info@harlinmuseum.com, or visit the Harlin Museum's Facebook page.
