Jason Mathew Wanagel, 36, was arrested March 26 on Taney County charges of failure to display plates, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage in excess of $1,000, driving another person’s vehicle knowing the owner had not maintained financial responsibility and driving on a highway without a valid license, plus a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. At 12:08 p.m. March 25, Deputy Auston Ryan was notified of someone who wanted to report trespassing on Lanton Road in West Plains. He tried to contact the suspect multiple times. A report was made.
Cpl. Logan Wake received a report of child abuse at 1:41 p.m. March 25 off of Y Highway near Mtn. View. An investigation is pending.
At 2:03 p.m. March 25, Deputy Jacob Hamby was called to respond to a disturbance on County Road 6450 in West Plains. He spoke to the parties involved who declined to pursue charges. Details were collected for a report.
Deputy Meacham was dispatched at 2:50 p.m. March 26 to County Road 1740 in Peace Valley to meet with Children’s Division employees. No contact was made and a report will be held on file.
Deputy McDaniel took a walk-in report at 3:40 p.m. March 27 at the sheriff’s office regarding a violation of an order of protection. The report will be forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office for review.
At 6:23 a.m. March 28, Deputy First Class Dylan Webb took a walk-in report at the sheriff’s office from a woman who said her neighbor’s cattle have been getting loose and getting onto her property. She said it was an ongoing issue.
Deputy Meacham conducted a traffic stop at 2:50 p.m. March 28 in the parking lot of Star Mart in Pomona. A ticket was issued to the driver on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended.
At 12:03 p.m. Friday, Deputy McDaniel took a report of property damage at a home on County Road 1940.
Deputy Meacham was dispatched at 3:27 p.m. Friday to the railroad crossing on County Road 1820 near U.S. 63 in Pomona. A person was arrested on a church of trespassing on railroad property and taken to the county jail for a 24-hour hold. A probable cause statement will be sent to county prosecutors.
At 9:32 a.m. Saturday, Deputy Hamby was called take a walk-in report at the sheriff’s office for stealing. A report was taken.
Deputy Jens was asked at 9:47 a.m. Saturday to speak to a man about property damage on County Road 6690. The man said his mailbox was damage, the post having been broken in half. A report was completed.
At 10:32 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Jordon Collins was dispatched to a home on North Illinois Avenue in Brandsville to investigate a report of domestic assault. A suspect was arrested and place on a 24-hour hold at the county jail, pending formal charges.
Deputy Shaun Duggins was called to the sheriff’s office at 12:03 a.m. Sunday for a missing person. A report was taken and the person was found safe.
Cpl. Travis Weaver responded at 4:39 p.m. Sunday to JJ Highway for a possible violation of an order of protection. A report was taken.
