Abbigale Bales, 23, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 1:23 a.m. March 22 on a seat belt violation charge and a charge of having excessive blood alcohol content. Officer Matthew Combs.

Chance Chambers, 27, Hot Springs, S.D., was ticketed at 1:28 p.m. March 22 on a seat belt violation charge.

Jeran Lucas, 29, Sparta, was ticketed at 1:34 p.m. March 22 on a seat belt violation charge.

Kelton Miley, 19, Birch Tree was ticketed at 10:20 p.m. March 22 on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol. Officer Alexis Johnson.

A 17-year-old from Birch Tree, whose name is not released because the youth is a minor, was ticketed at 12:06 a.m. March 23 on a charge of having excessive blood alcohol content. Officer Johnson.

Kaden Ferrell, 19, Birch Tree, was ticketed at 12:14 a.m. March 23 on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol. Officer Johnson.

A 17-year-old from Birch Tree was ticketed at 12:17 a.m. March 23 on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol. Officer Johnson.

Ladonna Henry, 69, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 12:25 p.m. March 24 on a seat belt violation charge. Cpl. Israel Guidry.

Patricia Donaldson, 58, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 12:46 p.m. March 24 on a seat belt violation charge. Cpl. Guidry.

Robert Bagwell, 75, Poplar Bluff, was ticketed at 12:59 p.m. March 24 on a seat belt violation charge. Cpl. Guidry.

Charles Richardson, 54, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 1:09 p.m. March 24 on a seat belt violation charge. Cpl. Guidry.

Steven Randolph, 52, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 2:21 p.m. March 24 on a seat belt violation charge. Cpl. Guidry.

Danny McGuire, 45, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 3 p.m. March 24 on a seat belt violation charge. Cpl. Guidry.

Franklin Brandenburg, 55, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 7 p.m. March 24 on a charge of failure to show proof of insurance. Officer First Class Kylie McGee.

Kimberly Toten, 33, Pomona, was ticketed at 12:09 a.m. March 25 on a charge of having a dog at large. Officer First Class McGee.

Charles Smith, 30, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 5:32 p.m. March 25 on two counts of a charge of stealing, value under $500.

Raven Walker, 38, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 5:49 p.m. March 27 on a charge of indecent exposure. Lt. Trenton Roberts.

Hellen Rebbec, 31, Willard, was ticketed at 10:24 a.m. March 28 on a seat belt violation charge and a charge of failure to display state plates. Assistant Chief Schwien.

Brandon Murphy, 35, Willow Springs, was ticketed at 3:47 p.m. March 28 on a seat belt violation charge.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

Officer Combs stopped a vehicle on March 22, resulting in three tickets being issued for seat belt violations and a ticket issued for excessive blood alcohol content.

On March 22, Sgt. Kaleb Berkshire was contacted about a man sending inappropriate pictures to minors, and pledged to make contact with the man and others involved.

Sgt. Berkshire was dispatched on March 22 to conduct a well-being check on a vehicle. There were no children in the car, there were three car seats in the back seat, the car was not running and was unoccupied.

On March 22, Officer First Class McGee was dispatched to Mtn. View Christian Church for a report of a person trying to unlock a vehicle that did not belong to him. She found the man walking away from the scene and asked him some questions. The reporting party declined to press charges as the vehicle was not damaged. The man was given a courtesy ride home.

Officer Johnson stopped a vehicle on March 22 and the driver was found to have an active warrant for arrest, and was reportedly also intoxicated, as were his passengers. All in the vehicle were minors. They were all taken into custody, booked and released; the driver who was wanted on the warrant posted a cash bond.

On March 23, Officer First Class McGee conducted a traffic stop and took a report for multiple incidents involving the driver and the vehicle.

Assistant Chief Stetson Schwien reported that on March 23, police were dispatched to East Fifth Street for a report of a person not breathing. He and Howell County Deputy James Wardrip, who is also a reserve officer for the Mtn. View police, arrived and administered CPR. The person was later taken by ambulance for treatment.

On March 23, Lt. Roberts was dispatched to the Anchor C-Store for a gas drive-off. A report ws taken.

Lt. Roberts spoke to a man at the police department on March 23. The man wanted to know about historic plates on a vehicle. Information was given.

On March 24, Officer First Class McGee was dispatched to Walmart for a complaint of a man and woman panhandling in the parking lot and frightening the customers. When she arrived, she could not find the people or the van, as it was described to her by the store manager. Attempts were made to locate them at multiple other shops in town.

Officer First Class McGee checked on a vehicle with hazard lights flashing March 24 at Dave’s Auto. She could not get in contact with anyone at the business, but she did track down the vehicle’s owner, who said, he knew the vehicle was unlocked, but he did not have the key fob and would not be able to get it to lock. The officer logged the vehicle’s information in case anything happened to the vehicle or anything inside of it went missing.

On March 24, Lt. Roberts was dispatched to north Highway 17 to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol with locating the owners of horses that had gotten loose near the road.

The manager at Malone’s Motel reported finding a white powdery substance believed to be drugs on March 24. Cpl. Guidry tested the substance, which gave a negative result. He found an open package for headache powder in the room.

On March 25, Officer First Class McGee took a report of a traffic incident.

Officer First Class McGee was dispatched on March 25 to East Seventh Street for a dog at large. The animal was taken to the pound because it did not have a collar and the officer could not find the owner, or a collar and chain to put the dog on. She was later called back to the address and able to inform the owners the dog was impounded. A ticket was issued at that time.

On March 25, Assistant Chief Schwien spoke with a driver who said his truck was “going into limp mode” and he would be calling someone to help get it home. The truck was moved from the road.

Assistant Chief Schwien attended a meeting on March 25 at the fire department about the Buck Nelson Days festival.

On March 25, Assistant Chief Schwien received a complaint of stealing from the Signal gas station, with information including video surveillance provided. A known suspect was identified and the case is under investigation. Charges will be sought.

Officer Combs was dispatched on March 27 to a domestic disturbance. Two men living at the home he responded to said they had argued, but it wasn’t physical. The reporting party showed up and said she saw the argument getting physical. The men again denied it.

On March 27, Officer Combs was dispatched to let emergency medical personnel into a building, but by the time he arrived the key, they were already inside administering treatment to the patient.

Officer Combs took a call on March 27 about a truck with its lights on in a parking lot. It was a first responder’s vehicle.

On March 27, Lt. Roberts received a complaint for a woman urinating in public and issued a ticket.

Reserve Officer Wardrip arrested a man on a St. Louis County warrant on March 27 and transported him to the Howell County Jail.

Howell County deputies asked police to be on the lookout for a blue Chevrolet Tahoe on March 28. The vehicle was reportedly at the scene of some thefts. The vehicle was found at a home in city limits, but the homeowner said the driver was not there. Officer Combs.

On March 28, Officer Combs was dispatched to a business alarm call. The door to the business was locked and he was unable to contact the key holder.

A person called on March 28 and reported the house next door was making a lot of noise, but did not give an address. The area call was determined to have come from was patrolled but Officer Combs was not able to locate a noisy house.

On March 28, Officer Combs was dispatched for a complaint of someone being loud and waking a neighbor’s dogs up. He spoke to the reporting party and could not find anyone making loud noises.

Assistant Chief Schwien was dispatched March 28 to Dollar General for an alarm. An employee was having issues with the alarm and the manager and alarm company were aware. The building was secured.

On March 28, a woman said she was locked out of her vehicle. Sgt. Berkshire said police are not able to unlock vehicles due to liability concerns. She later said her boyfriend was able to pry the door slightly and unlock the door.

Sgt. Berkshire conducted a well-being check on March 28.
