OZH joins Show-Me High Value Network

Posted

Ozarks Healthcare has joined 23 other independent Missouri hospitals to form the Show-Me High Value Network, a statewide collaboration designed to improve health care quality, affordability and value in the communities they serve.

The cornerstone of the network is a clinically integrated network, or CIN, which provides a framework for the hospitals to collaborate on care coordination, data sharing, quality improvement and value-based care. Combined, the member hospitals serve more than 1.8 million Missourians.

“We are always looking for ways to strengthen the care we provide to the communities we serve,” said Terence Farrell, president and CEO of Ozarks Healthcare. “Joining the Show-Me High Value Network gives us an opportunity to collaborate with other health care organizations across Missouri while continuing to focus on what matters most: providing high-quality, accessible care close to home.”

Farrell added that the partnership will benefit patients and providers while allowing the health system to maintain its local focus. While participants will share resources, best practices and scale advantages, each hospital in the network will remain independent and locally governed. Additional network services will be optional, allowing hospitals to engage where it best fits their specific community needs.

As a member, Ozarks Healthcare will serve on committees focused on care quality, aiming to reduce administrative burdens and lead the implementation of a clinical data-sharing platform. Another committee of operational leaders will share strategies to improve efficiency across member organizations.

In addition to Ozarks Healthcare, the Show-Me High Value Network partners include Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in Clinton, Hannibal Regional Hospital, Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany and Hermann Area District Hospital.

Other participating hospitals are Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Nevada Regional Medical Center, Pershing Health System in Brookfield, Phelps Health in Rolla, Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Ray County Hospital and Healthcare in Richmond, Salem Memorial District Hospital, Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi and Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
