July 4 is just around the corner, and America’s 250th anniversary celebration is underway! Many of our vendors are already creating patriotic-themed products to help commemorate this historic milestone.
Abby Eldringhoff, proprietor of Barefoot Holler, is bringing a red, white and blue trio of holiday jams: strawberry jalapeño, pear and lemon blueberry. Abby will also have samples of her strawberry jalapeño jam served with cream cheese and crackers for shoppers to try.
If you are looking to do some home canning, this is the perfect weekend to shop. Abby will have pickling cucumbers on hand, and Bee Quenched vendor Jess Dietrich will have fresh dill available at his produce harvest trailer — giving you everything you need to make homemade pickles.
To help carry or store your summer projects, Justin “the Barrel Dude” will be at the market this Saturday with a wide variety of barrels, crates and totes.
Fresh Summer Produce & Food Court Favorites
Our local crop selection continues to expand weekly. Fresh produce available this Saturday includes tomatoes, green beans, onions, potatoes, squash, zucchini, blackberries, peaches, sweet corn, mushrooms and peppers. Frank Coleman of Hideaway Farms will also be stocked with plenty of his popular apple cider.
Our hot food vendors frequently sell out, so be sure to arrive early! This week's food court features Tamales To Go with authentic Mexican favorites and Tribal Cajun with authentic Cajun foods.
