The West Plains Zizzer boys soccer team is holding a fundraiser giveaway drawing for a kayak and cooler collectively valued at $1,200.
The drawing will be held Aug. 15 during the team’s Red and White Scrimmage. The winner does not have to be present to win.
In a post to the team’s Facebook page, Head Coach Jimmy Miller said tickets will be distributed to players before and after the team’s dead week in July. The team’s goal is for each player to sell at least 20 tickets, with more available for players and families who want to continue selling.
Miller said the team sold nearly 600 tickets last year and hopes to exceed that number this year.
Tickets are $20 each, Money raised through the fundraiser will help cover team expenses, including meals, hotel stays for tournaments and other supplies or season-related costs. Those interested in purchasing a ticket may contact Miller at jimmy.miller@zizzers.org.
Updates will be posted on the team’s Facebook page, @zizzersoccer.
