3 West Plains residents injured in Monday work zone crash

A 36-year-old West Plains woman and two 10-year-old girls suffered minor injuries in a two-
vehicle crash at 8:08 a.m. Monday on west U.S. 60 at Diggins in Webster County, according to

the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Z. Dudley, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a westbound 2025 Ford
Expedition driven by the woman rear-ended a 2025 Ford Bronco driven by a 27-year-old Cabool
man that had slowed for stopped traffic. The two vehicles reportedly swerved to avoid the traffic
at the same time before colliding.
The driver of the Expedition was wearing a seat belt, but the children were not. All three were
taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment. No injuries were

reported for the driver of the Bronco, who was wearing a seat belt.
Illinois man injured Saturday in Ozark Co.
A 20-year-old Danville, Ill., man suffered injuries in a crash at 2:50 p.m. Saturday on west U.S.
160, 10 miles east of Gainesville in Ozark County.
Tpr. W.R. Wylie, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported an eastbound 2025
Hyundai Sonata driven by the man ran off the left side of the road, struck a chevron sign and
several fenceposts and came to rest against a tree.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West
Plains for treatment.
