Cabool man injured, arrested following Sunday motorcycle chase

A 23-year-old Cabool man suffered minor injuries when his motorcycle crashed during a police chase Sunday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. T.L. Sullivan , with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2009 Honda failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road while the rider was fleeing from law enforcement. The crash happened at 9:05 p.m. on E Highway, 2 miles north of Norwood in Wright County, the report shows.

The rider was wearing a helmet and was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment.

Patrol arrest records show Landane R. Thomas, 23, of Cabool, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. Sunday on charges of felony resisting arrest by fleeing, felony driving while revoked or suspended, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, failure to maintain financial responsibility, stunt driving and exceeding the speed limit by 26 mph or more.
