A motorcylist from Indiana suffered serious injuries in an Ozark County crash, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old man from Lafayette, Ind., was thrown from his southbound 2023 Harley Davidson in a crash at 3:40 p.m. Thursday on N Highway, 8 miles north of Brixey, reported Tpr. W.R. Wylie with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs. The motorcycle had run off the road and overturned.
The rider was wearing a helmet and was taken by Ozark County Ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.
West Plains woman injured in Thursday red-light collision
A 65-year-old West Plains woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 11:02 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Bill Virdon Boulevard and South U.S. 63, just outside the West Plains city limits.
Cpl. M.T. Weakley reported a southbound 2019 Toyota Highlander driven by the 65-year-old was attempting to make a left turn when a northbound 2021 Nissan Frontier driven by a 51-year-old West Plains woman ran a red light and struck the Toyota.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The driver of the Toyota was taken by South Howell County Ambulance for treatment, though the report did not indicate the hospital destination. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Nissan.
Mtn. Grove man injured in semi-truck crash
A 53-year-old man from Mtn. Grove was hurt when his semi-truck rolled over at 3 p.m. Thursday on west U.S. 60, a mile east of Mansfield in Wright County.
Tpr. N.M. Bogart reported an eastbound 1990 Freightliner driven by the man blew a tire and ran off the road.
The driver was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries, the report shows.
Bogart was assisted at the scene by Cpl. J.L. Dedmon, the Mansfield Fire Department, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
Douglas Co. motorcycle crash causes serious injuries
A 74-year-old Mansfield man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle vs. pickup truck collision at 2:25 p.m. Friday on Highway 5, 2 miles north of Ava in Douglas County.
Tpr. Wylie reported a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 59-year-old Ava man was making a left turn when it was rear-ended by a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle ridden by the Mansfield man.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, and was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the pickup, who was wearing a seat belt.
Houston man hurt in Webster Co. rollover
A 72-year-old Houston man suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash at 1:15 p.m. Saturday on Highway 38, 6.5 miles west of Marshfield in Webster County.
Msgt. T.W. Mosley, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a westbound 2005 Buick Rendezvous driven by the man ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Cox South for treatment, the report shows.
