Missouri State announces 2026 football game themes

Missouri State University Athletics has announced its 2026 football game themes for the Bears’ second season in Conference USA and Football Bowl Subdivision football.

Single-game tickets are on sale, and season tickets remain available in most price ranges. The six-game home schedule at Plaster Stadium will include the following promotions:

• Saturday, Sept. 12, vs. Lindenwood University: Heroes Day, Extra Yard for Teachers and Youth Spirit Clinic

• Saturday, Sept. 19, vs. Marshall University: Family Weekend and Hall of Fame

• Wednesday, Oct. 14, vs. Kennesaw State University: Youth Football Night

• Tuesday, Oct. 27, vs. Sam Houston State University: Faith & Family Night, Black Out, Ag Day and Drone Show

• Saturday, Nov. 14, vs. New Mexico State University: Homecoming

• Saturday, Nov. 28, vs. Liberty University: Senior Day

Heroes Day on Sept. 12 will recognize members of the armed forces and first responders. Eligible participants may redeem a free ticket and purchase $8 tickets for accompanying family members.

Extra Yard for Teachers will recognize area educators in partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation. Local educators will be eligible for a special ticket discount.

The Youth Spirit Clinic will invite children in kindergarten through sixth grade to spend the day with the Missouri State Cheer and Sugar Bears Dance teams. Participants will learn cheers, dance routines and beginner stunting skills before taking part in the Bear Walk through BearFest Village and performing during the first half of the game.

Family Weekend on Sept. 19 will include programming for Missouri State students and their families, including a Family Programs tailgate space in BearFest Village.

Missouri State Athletics will also recognize the newest class of the Missouri State Athletics Hall of Fame, honoring student-athletes, coaches, teams and contributors whose achievements have left a lasting impact on Bears athletics.

Youth Football Night on Oct. 14 will welcome youth football players, coaches and families to Plaster Stadium. Local youth football teams are invited to attend and support the Bears.

Faith & Family Night on Oct. 27 will bring together church groups, faith-based organizations and fans from across the Ozarks for an evening of fellowship and football.

The Oct. 27 game will also include a Black Out promotion, with fans encouraged to wear black Missouri State apparel. Ag Day will recognize agriculture in the Ozarks, and area FFA chapters and agricultural organizations are invited to attend. Group ticket rates start at $5 per ticket. A drone show is planned for halftime.

Homecoming on Nov. 14 will welcome Missouri State alumni and friends back to campus. Activities are planned throughout the weekend, including the annual Homecoming parade Saturday morning and Homecoming court coronation at halftime.

Senior Day on Nov. 28 will honor members of the football senior class for their commitment, leadership and contributions to the Bears program. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the recognition before kickoff.

Season tickets remain available in most seating sections and may be purchased online or at the Missouri State Box Office. Missouri State students are admitted free to all home games by presenting a valid BearPass on game days. Discounted season tickets are available for Missouri State faculty and staff.
