Delta Fisher, 51, was ticketed by Sgt. Nathan Griffin at 7:59 p.m. on charges of child endangerment and hindering prosecution.

A 15-year-old, whose identity is protected by state law, was ticketed by Sgt. Griffin at 7:59 p.m. on charges of being a child prohibited from driving, filing a false report and leaving the scene of a crash.

 

May 29

Assistant Chief Trenton Roberts responded to a home on East Sixth Street to take a theft report. The victim reported 21 chickens were stolen from her yard the day before.

 

June 9

A person reported checking on a neighbor who had not been seen in a few days, and found her semiconscious and struggling to breathe. Chief Stetson Schwien called an ambulance, which took the woman to a hospital.

 

June 14

Reserve Officer Jacob Brixey responded to a scene in which a telephone pole with live electrical wires had fallen, blocking the road. He contacted the utility department, which responded to work on the pole.

 

June 21

Officer Brixey responded to a scene where a tree fell across a road, hitting power and phone lines. City utility workers were contacted.

 

June 22

Mercy St. Francis emergency room staff called to report a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office asked a local officer to retrieve the bullet. Chief Schwien arrived and hospital staff informed him the bullet had not been removed yet, but they would send it with Shannon County deputies when it was.
