Mtn. View man seriously injured in Thursday semi-truck rollover

A 47-year-old Mtn. View man suffered serious injuries in a semi-truck rollover crash at 5:51 p.m. Thursday on UU Highway at Gillespie Bridge Road in Boone County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. D. Holliday, with Troop F of the patrol, Jefferson City, reported a northbound 2007 Kenworth W900 driven by the man failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, striking a road sign and an electric pole.

The driver, was wearing a seat belt and was taken by University Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia, the report shows.

 

Wednesday rollover injures 2 Gainesville teens

Two Gainesville teens suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday on Ozark County Road 578, a half-mile south of Elijah.

Tpr. W.R. Wylie, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet Cruz driven by a 16-year-old girl ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Both the driver and her 17-year-old passenger were wearing seat belts and were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment, the report shows.

 

4 from Texas County hurt in 3-vehicle crash

Four Texas County residents were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in Texas County.

Tpr. A. Sigman reported a northbound 2022 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 39-year-old man from Success rear-ended a northbound 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 that was making a left turn, driven by a 44-year-old Bucyrus woman.  The Chevrolet reportedly then crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a southbound 2014 Hyundai Tucson driven by a 51-year-old Cabool woman. 

A 12-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Chevrolet suffered moderate injuries, and the driver suffered minor injuries, Sigman reported; both were wearing seat belts. The driver of the Dodge was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, and the Hyundai driver was wearing a seat belt. Both women suffered minor injuries. All four were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment. Sigman was assisted at the scene by Msgt. R.D. Vaughan.

 

Motorcyclist hurt near Birch Tree

A Morgan County man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 6:51 p.m. Tuesday on east U.S. 60, 4 miles west of Birch Tree in Shannon County.

Tpr. C.C. Battreal reported the 58-year-old man from Stover was riding an eastbound 2003 Victory which had a mechanical failure and lost control. The motorcycle ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.

The rider was wearing a helmet and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment.
