The West Plains Police Department has released details about a pickup truck that crashed into the front of Ruby Tuesday restaurant Saturday evening in West Plains.
West Plains Police Officer Conner Burnes said officers were dispatched at about 7 p.m. Saturday to 1008 Worley Drive, where they found a Dodge Dakota had struck the front entrance of the business. The impact shattered the doors and caused the walls to partially collapse.
An investigation showed the truck was north on U.S. 63 near the intersection of Preacher Roe Boulevard when the driver suffered a medical emergency. As a result, the vehicle left the northbound lanes, crossed the median and entered the southbound lanes, officers reported.
The truck then ran down a hill before hitting the building. The driver suffered minor injuries as a result, Burnes said.
