Salem, Ark., man seriously injured in Saturday motorcycle crash

A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Salem, Ark., suffered serious injuries in a crash at noon Saturday on Highway 142, 15 miles west of Thayer, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. D.B. Howell, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a westbound 2009 Harley Davidson ridden by the man ran off the right side of the road and overturned. It is unknown if the rider was wearing a helmet. He was flown by Survival Flight to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.

 

Springfield man injured in Friday Douglas Co. collision

A 72-year-old Springfield man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 1:30 p.m. Friday on Highway 76, 2 miles west of Arno in Douglas County.

Tpr. W.R. Wylie reported an eastbound 2016 Ford Fusion driven by a 42-year-old Ava woman rear-ended a 2018 Can-Am Spyder three-wheeler ridden by the man, who had stopped to make a left turn.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Ford, who also wore a seat belt.

 

Two Mtn. Grove residents injured in Webster Co. crash

A 33-year-old Mtn. Grove man and a 9-year-old Mtn. Grove boy suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash at 10:54 a.m. Saturday on west U.S. 60 at Fordland in Webster County.

Tpr. N.L. Vines, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a southbound 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by the man pulled into the path of an eastbound 2019 Dodge Charger. The Dodge then struck a northbound 2012 Ford Edge that had stopped.

The driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger were wearing seat belts and were taken to Cox South for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the drivers of the Dodge or the Ford, who both reportedly wore seat belts.
