A 32-year-old West Plains man and a 19-year-old West Plains man suffered serious injuries when their vehicles collided and overturned at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 3 on BB Highway, a mile north of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Msgt. C.A. Kimes with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported an eastbound 1993 Ford F-150 driven by the 32-year-old failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a northbound 2003 Toyota Camry driven by the 19-year-old.
The impact caused both vehicles to run off the road and overturn, completely throwing the Ford’s driver from his vehicle and partially throwing the driver of the Toyota from his.
Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, the report shows. Both were flown to Springfield hospitals for treatment; the younger man to Mercy Hospital and the older man to Cox South Medical Center.

Serious injuries reported for moped rider
A 67-year-old man suffered serious injuries when his moped struck debris on the shoulder of south U.S. 63, 3 miles south of West Plains.
Tpr. D.B. Howell reported the crash happened at 9:10 p.m. Saturday when a northbound 2025 Fengyuan Sunny moped ridden by the man overturned.
The rider was not wearing a helmet and was flown by air ambulance to Cox South for treatment, the report shows.
Three hurt in Sunday crash
Three people suffered injuries in a rollover crash at 5:06 p.m. Sunday on AZ Highway in Texas County, 8 miles north of Willow Springs.
Tpr. A.T. Sigman reported an eastbound 2005 Honda Pilot driven by a 20-year-old Springfield man ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the left side of the road and overturned.
The driver and his passenger, a 20-year-old Willow Springs man, both wore seat belts and suffered minor injuries, the report shows; another passenger, a 21-year-old Mtn. Grove woman, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries.
Both passengers were reportedly taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment. The driver was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Alton motorcyclist collides with deer
A 62-year-old Alton man suffered serious injuries when his motorcycle struck a deer at 7:52 p.m. Sept. 3 on Highway 19, about 10 miles north of Alton in Oregon County.
Cpl. J.D. Wheeler reported the man was thrown from a 2016 Harley Davidson following the collision.
It is unknown if the rider was wearing a helmet. He was flown by Life Flight for medical treatment at an undisclosed location, the report shows.
Mtn. Home man seriously injured in motorcycle crash
A 59-year-old Mtn. Home, Ark., man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash at 1:47 p.m. Friday on Highway 125, 10 miles south of Bradleyville in Taney County.
Cpl. B.A. Hall, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a northbound 2015 Harley Davidson ridden by the man struck debris in the road, ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
The rider, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital for treatment, the report shows.
Cabool woman seriously injured in Monday crash
A 40-year-old Cabool woman suffered serious injuries in a crash at 7:20 p.m. Monday on Highway 17 south of Elk Road in Laclede County.
Tpr. D.J. Creamer, with Troop I of the patrol, Rolla, reported a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by the woman crossed the centerline, veered back over, ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was flown by Mercy Air to Mercy Hospital for treatment, the report shows. Creamer was assisted at the scene by Msgt. S.M. Blackston.
Birch Tree man injured in collision with tree
Back in Troop G, a 72-year-old Birch Tree man suffered minor injuries in a crash involving a tree at 3:52 p.m. Monday on Old U.S. 60, 6 miles west of Winona in Shannon County.
Tpr. B.A. Swink reported a westbound 2024 Honda Ridgeline driven by the man failed to stop at a stop sign, proceeded through a “T” intersection and struck a tree.
The driver was taken for medical treatment, the report shows. The mode of transportation and hospital destination were not indicated.
Mtn. Grove teen hurt in pickup truck crash
A 17-year-old Mtn. Grove boy suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash at 3:18 p.m. Thursday on west U.S. 60, a mile east of Macomb in Wright County.
Cpl. S.J. Crewse reported an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by the teen ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and skidded across the median and westbound lanes before striking a rock bluff.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by Mercy Ambulance for treatment, the report shows. The hospital destination was not given.
Sikeston man hurt in crash with semi from Willow Springs
A 31-year-old Sikeston man suffered serious injuries in a collision with a semi-truck at 6:45 p.m. Monday on east U.S. 60, 2 miles east of Charleston in Mississippi County.
Tpr. T.J. Wiebe, with Troop E of the patrol, Poplar Bluff, reported an eastbound 2022 Ford Escape driven by the Sikeston man crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming 2026 Freightliner driven by a 48-year-old Willow Springs man.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The driver of the Ford was flown by Air Evac to St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the semi-truck.
