U.S. 63 in Oregon County will see traffic impacts in the coming weeks as construction crews install a new concrete median island and restripe the pavement.
The affected section of highway is located between Alton Road and County Road 360 near Thayer. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place, but the Missouri Department of Transportation notes that all lanes of traffic will remain open while work is underway.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday through April 24.
The work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
