March 9

Animal Control Officer Andy Logan conducted an investigation into a report of neglected dogs from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on North Grand Street.

 

March 10

At 3:25 p.m., Chief Wes Ellison recovered a stolen weapon which had been gifted to a business. The business owner ask police to check the weapon, at which time Ellison discovered it was reported stolen during a burglary in November 1973 in Lincoln County.

 

March 20

Isaiah David Swick, West Plains, was ticketed by Officer Joe Barnhouse at 10:41 p.m. on a charge of supplying alcohol to a minor.

 

March 21

ACO Logan responded to an animal call at 8 p.m. at a home on North Summit Street. The dog was inside the home. While trying to catch the animal, the dog bit Logan through his gloves. The dog was returned to its owner and further action is pending.

 

March 23

At 11:50 a.m., Officer Ryan McGinnis responded to Lakeland Pharmacy on Bear Drive for a report of a terroristic threat. One person was arrested and charges were sent to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office.

 

March 28

David Leon Douglas was ticketed by Sgt. David Hocking at 8:26 p.m. on a charge of leaving the scene of a crash.
