The Class of 1970 will hold its 55th class reunion Sept. 19 and 20, during West Plains High School’s homecoming weekend. It will be the first in 10 years, as the 2020 reunion was canceled due to COVID-19, organizers said, adding, “That is way too long to not get together!”

Friends of Ferals will host its "#FoFCatsRock – Spay It Forward" celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at The American Legion, 1113 N. Walnut St. in Willow Springs. The community event aims to raise funds and celebrate a summerlong effort to provide spay and neuter services for community cats, said organizers.
